Somatic Experiencing®

Somatic Experiencing® is a body-based trauma therapy skill developed by Dr. Peter Levine.  With Somatic Experiencing® interventions, we track physical sensations along with the thoughts, feelings, and meaning of your past experiences, in order to access your body's intrinsic healing capabilities.  This process allows your nervous system to discharge the pent-up survival energy of your fight, flight, and freeze responses, and restore itself back to states of calm.

Integral Somatic Psychology®

Integral  Somatic Psychology®, developed by Dr. Raja Selvam, combines the healing power of somatic techniques with emotion-focused exposure therapy to create a powerful intervention that can quickly decrease the intensity and discomfort of difficult emotions.  The method utilizes energy psychology concepts, self-touch, and full-body expansion of emotional states to improve emotional resiliency, behavior, and cognition.

Behavioral and Strengths-Based Psychotherapy

Behavioral therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral therapy are essential tools that help you develop new ways of thinking and coping that can improve how you perceive yourself and the world around you.  I use Mindfulness skills, Self-Compassion skills, Positive Psychology, and goal-setting to help you train your habits away from unhealthy thinking and behavior patterns.  Solution-Focused interventions recognize that you are the expert of your life, and that connecting with your own innate strengths and wisdom is the key to achieving lasting changes in your life.
